Work on poetry poem recitation for at least 15 minutes. Please recite to at least two people at home.
Share your photo poem with someone at home.
Tuesday 5/9
Work on poetry lounge poem. Focus on voice, line break pauses, and word emphasis. Poems should be memorized by tomorrow. We will recite then in the poetry lounge on Thursday.
Choose a poem you have written to share in the poetry lounge. Print a copy to read from and hold onto it until Thursday.
Wednesday 5/10
Work on poetry lounge poem. Focus on posture and presentation. We will recite them in the poetry lounge on Thursday.
Bring your 2nd poem (one you have written) to the poetry lounge on Thursday.
Thursday 5/11 - Monday 5/19
Begin reading log. Read a novel or articles from Newsela. Record time spent on your reading log. Reading log check next Tuesday. Please read for at least 90 minutes, by Tuesday's reading log check.
